Creating Compassionate
Communities of Care

Guiding the Dying Home
One heart, One family & One community
at a time.

Adaire Petrichor, founder of the Heart of Dying Project in 2013 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio is an end-of-life doula, consultant and instructor of family & community medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University. She developed an innovative volunteer end-of-life doula training in collaboration with the Hospice of Western Reserve. She is also the founder of the Cleveland Coffin Club and facilitates death literacy and caregiver cafes through public library systems, advocating for non-medical hospice care in Greater Cleveland. Adaire is now dedicated to creating a non-medical, community-based volunteer end-of-life doula collective, offering an extra cushion of support for those experiencing a life-altering or terminal diagnosis.
